The weekend news anchor would be responsible for on-air news reports. This would include recording and editing the newscasts for broadcast as well as preparing the content to be posted on


  • Present news on-air during assigned shift

  • Announce station programming information

  • Recording and editing news broadcasts and post on to our affiliated websites

  • Able to work all assigned timeslots as well as willing to be on-call for emergencies and special radio events

  • Other duties assigned by News Director or Asst. News Director

Job Prerequisites:

  • News Junkie

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience writing scripts as well as potential posts for website affiliate

  • Some experience as an on-air host preferred

  • Working knowledge of broadcast equipment

  • Understanding and support of the mission behind USA Radio

  • Must include aircheck and sample script with resume
